Default Skills with Griefing Potential

Hi there!

I found two skills which can be misused to damage the own team. These are

Grent's Balance: Infuse Health for enemies
Iron Mist: A powerful "prot" for enemies. Especially if there is no Air Ele or Channeling Rit in the team.

Are there any other skills like that? Do you think they should be changed?

Personally, I think Grenth's Balance is ok, but Iron Mist needs rework, because I can't think of any meaningful use for that.

(And I'm unsure whether this belongs to Riverside or Sardelac.)

Nevermind... Yeah, quite a griefer skill.

I always liked using Muddy Terrain in JQ at the start, pwns your team. Funny.

Edge of Extinction and Rotting Flesh.

I use these in FA all the time, not to grief, but to make bad players useful by fuelling the EoE bomb.

So basically all spirits give grief to both sides.

All nature rituals - ritualist spirits dont tend to have effects on both sides at once

I like to go into RA on my monk, whisper one of the people on the other team that I'm a double agent and will heal them, then when the match starts jump with them and keep their team up with Heal Area, Healing Ring, and Karei's Healing Circle. I also like to maintain Life Attunement on my team's warriors and assassins, and let's not forget Unyielding Aura (PvP).

Grief is everywhere, if only you know where to look.

I made a build for AB called "A-Hole Ranger." As I recall, it has Nature's Renewal, Quickening Zephyr, Muddy Terrain, Tranquility, Roaring Winds, Quicksand, plus a running skill and a heal. I don't recommend using it, of course. But yeah, major grief!

That looks suspiciously like a build I encountered while running AB on my water ele...nature's renewal did something to the cast time of hexes and enchants...my bar was 5 hexes and 3 enchants...drove me f'ing crazy...

One of the most common ones is in FA on the Kurzick side.

You get 2 necros with Arcane Echo, Arcane Mimicry, and Aura of the Lich. They spam their minions next to Gunther (or the team). Then they put Death Nova on a couple of them and sac themselves to death.

Instant minion griefing. Of course....it gets a lot of guys reported. Oh, and Gunther's Gaze helped to fix it. Honestly, though, people still use it against the team sitting on the portal.

Gunther has monster skill that wipes out minions now. That has been nerfed

Wouldn't he still be affected by the death nova, or does it not change side when the caster MM dies?

From what I read about it, Death Nova would still hurt the 'original foes', that is, those who are foe of whoever cast Death Nova

They have limited range and your own team is more likely to be in range.

Virulence is lolzy no matter the format. I use it in AB mostly. Just lock onto the most annoying person and fire off stuff. My build uses Glyph of Immolation, Weaken Armor, Virulence, Putrid Bile, and Vile Miasma for the meat and I have three free slots for whatever. I usually have Plague Sending, Signet of Lost Souls, and Animate Bone Minions but sometimes a running skill can be useful when I make too many people angry or need to get away from my team so they won't get negative statuses.

You can do something like that in RA. The raeg is well worth the dishonor.

P.S.

I just WON a match with that build. That was rather disappointing.

Spirit griefing anyone? Not sure how popular they are, but I've always thought something like Feast of Souls or Spirit to Flesh against your own team would really grief people into rages. You could also bring Draw Spirit and start moving them away from an area or into the enemy to be killed.

I thought that Lacerate bombing turtles from the luxon side was fun, but I gotta hand it to the op, echos + iron mist + gate npc's = true hilarity. Drain delusions is slightly helpful for taking mes hexes off them, works best if they're hit with illusion of pain. Also, crystal wave and tenai's crystal make for excellent condi removal.

Veratas Aura + Self-enchant removal (Contempation of purity) + Minions.

Old unyielding aura was quite a grieginf build.

IIRC, someone made "monk from hell" build based on this and "helped" out newbies at fort ranik. Sadly, he was not banned or anything :-( ... wonder how many played did he turn away from gw ...
